Welcome to Recreational Soccer

The CAA Recreational Soccer League provides children from 5-10 years old the opportunity to play organized soccer. Our objectives are to teach youths the fundamentals of the game, to encourage them to always strive to improve their abilities, to show them the values of fair play, and to help them work and play together as a team.  Please understand our program is based on enrollment each season, therefore based on the # of players registered we might have to combine ages, make a division co-ed and or cancel a season for a specific division if we don't have enough players,  T

This is a recreational league, which means the knowledge and ability of the players and coaches will vary greatly.  Coaches and parents should be dedicated to helping all children succeed in this league. At the end of the season, every player on every team should feel a sense of accomplishment, demonstrate improved skills, and have the desire to continue playing soccer.

We offer two seasons:

  • Spring Soccer, which typically starts in early April and ends in mid-May
  • Fall Soccer, which typically starts in early September and ends in mid-October

Who can play and how are leagues broken down?

All Copley-Fairlawn students ages 5-10 are eligible to play.  CAA has formed a partnership with some other local soccer associations and play as many games against other communities as possible each season.  Due to the fact that we are in this partnership we do not have a concrete formula for breaking down the age groups.  Depending on the season and the number of players in each community we create divisions based on the registration.  The kindergarten league will be the exception to this partnership, that league will play "in-house" each week against other CAA teams.  Ideally, we would like to have boys and girls teams but we reserve the right to combine ages or sexes.
