Saturday morning Recreation Program

We are making some improvements to our Saturday recreational program to make it more instructional and fun at the same time. If you have not played for a year or two, give our new and improved program another look.  Play will be on Saturday’s beginning in December for 10 weeks (non- consecutive) at the Copley Middle School gymnasiums.

Cost is $50.00 per child. Spaces will be filled on a first come first serve basis so please don’t delay. Mail in only! Registrations must be postmarked by November 5th.   After that, teams will be formed and shirts ordered. Late registrations will be accepted only to fill positions on existing teams. There will be no exceptions; teams will be limited to 10 players.

Coaches Meeting

Parent coaches are always welcome and needed to assist. Anyone who wishes to coach should indicate his or her willingness on the registration form and plan to attend these meetings. Our first coaches meeting will be Nov 10th at 7:00 pm in the Copley Middle School cafeteria. There will be a second meeting on Nov 24^th  at 7:00 p.m. to complete our preparations for the upcoming season. If you intend to coach it is imperative you attend these sessions.

Travel Team Tryouts

Boys and girls in grades 3 thru 6 who desire to participate at a more competitive level will have an opportunity to tryout for the 3^rd, 4^th, 5^th and 6^th grade teams. These teams will participate in league play against other community teams at a location to be determined, as well as several area tournaments. The cost to participate on a travel team will vary, depending upon how many tournaments the particular team will play. Typical cost is approximately $100.00 - $160.00.

Players interested in playing travel basketball are strongly encouraged to participate in our Saturday morning program as well.
